Caterpillar has introduced the Cat C32B diesel engine, a fully re-engineered power unit developed to deliver higher output, improved durability and extended service life for large off-highway equipment. The 32.1 ltr, 12-cylinder engine now offers power ratings up to 1,350 hp for less regulated markets. This performance boost is supported by reinforced internal components, including a strengthened cast-iron block, enhanced crankshaft, upgraded connecting rods and an optimized lubrication system designed to handle demanding load cycles. The C32B also features a redesigned cooling architecture, refined cylinder head geometry and early-warning coolant protection to enhance reliability in extreme operating environments. Emissions management is handled through a dual-can diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) aftertreatment system, delivering a maintenance-free solution that requires neither particulate filter regeneration nor DEF. Engineered for loaders, cranes, drilling rigs and other heavy-duty applications, the new platform is available globally through the Caterpillar dealer network, offering customers a more powerful and robust option for high-performance operations.
